Human Nature (A little philosophy)

May 28th, 2010 . by tlinnell
Life is not as complex as our media is making it out to be. For some reason the news has decided every accident, every death, every action can be fixed and prevented. They have also chosen to portray people and companies as either angels or devils. There are no exceptions. The media uses ‘common sense’ to conclude their viewpoints. Both sides take the same story to conclude opposite things. The govt reacts to it and makes laws, giant agencies, etc. As a result we, too, react by accepting these rules and regulations as important. Although it sounds good on the surface, we are all human.

Human nature and accidents are a part of life we cannot avoid or change. A good example is women’s rights. Although it sounds good to promote equality, our tv shows have gone overboard. Women can now fight men and win. Really? Men are much stronger and that is a fact, but our younger girls do not understand that. That is an equality we do not want promoted to this extent. Our young girls feel they do not need to pay attention to their surroundings. The good of the movement failed to teach common sense reality.

By sitting back and accepting every law, every regulation, as our duty, as necessary, we have let things go to far. By not accepting human nature and the abilities/differences God gave us, we are not accepting other people for who they are. Everybody is to be like us. Everybody is to react like us. If not, they are guilty and we must fix it through laws.

This thinking is now throughout our society as important to make us a better society. Are we better? Or has it choked us? That is a question we must decide for ourselves.

There are two sides to a coin and before making a decision, look at both sides. That is what we do every day and every minute of our lives. We decide. For every decision we give up something, or promote something we don’t want. Life is not just about what’s there, what we see, but also what we don’t see.

Food for thought.

A little phylisophical, but still, an interesting aspect once examined. That’s why I posted it. It’s not the ‘economic’ topic of my norm, but nobody’s one subject. :-)
